This is one of the many accredited courses available from

 Somerset Skills & Learning

Current students who are enrolled on this course include cardiac nurses, complementary therapists, exercise instructors, occupational therapists, mental health nurses and Tai Chi instructors

Shibashi is easy to learn and can be performed by anyone, whatever your age. It is especially suited for older people or those with restricted mobilty.

That's why it's great for health classes.

You can click here to take a look at the Shibashi movements being performed.

Once you have gained the OCN qualification, you'll be well equipped to teach Shibashi to all types of health groups.

A Level 3 OCN Tai Chi Foundation Instructor qualification is available for progression. This qualification is endorsed by Master Jesse Tsao.

Further details of this qualification can be found on the Somerset Skills & Learning course finder and Master Jesse Tsao's accreditation can be found from his website

We are currently training volunteers to enable them to deliver Shibashi to excluded groups free of charge. Limited funding is available for this, if you fit the grant criteria.

If you have already applied to become a volunteer Shibashi instructor for Project Somerset Tai Chi, take a look at the volunteer page for further details
